Hanover School Board Election Results

Three 3-year seats were won by Carey Callaghan (357 votes), Mimi Lichtenstein (281) and David Sobel (305).   Candidate Richard A. Johnson Jr. received 167 votes.

For One-Year Seats (candidates were unopposed):
  Moderator:  Jonathan Edwards
  Clerk:  Robert L. Grabill
  Treasurer:  Bill Brown

Norwich School Board Winners

For School Board (two 3-year seats):  
  Tom Candon (949 votes)
  Jim Mackall (919 votes)

Dresden Officers for 2017

Candidates for One-Year Seats (candidates were unopposed): 
Moderator:  Jonathan Edwards
Clerk:  Deborah McLane Carter
Treasurer:   Cheryl A. Lindberg
Auditors:  Three seats - 1-year term, 2-year term, and 3-year term (no one ran)

Positions of the Hanover Finance Committee

The Hanover Finance Committee  are appointed by the town of Hanover to review finances and give an opinion on budgets to be voted upon.  Because there currently is no Norwich Finance Committee, the Hanover Finance Committee has opined on both the Hanover and Dresden budgets.  Click the link below to read the committee's opinion of the proposed school budgets for 2017-2018.

Link here to the Annual Report for the Hanover/Dresden school districts.  To save paper and costs, the Hanover/Dresden annual report will not be mailed to all Hanover residents. You can link above to the full-color Annual Report PDF, which includes the proposed budgets for the 2017-18 school year, the warrant articles to be voted on March 7, and news from principals and Board chairs. Several photos of students bring color to the pages. Annual Reports were made  available at the Howe and Etna Libraries, Town Hall, Kendal and the SAU Office at 41 Lebanon Street, Suite 2. If you would like to have an annual report mailed to you, call 643-6050 x 0. (Note: The Norwich annual report was mailed as usual to Norwich residents.)
